This Privacy Policy explains how the operator of the IT Hello website (the “Service”) processes personal data when you use the Service.

2. Scope
This Policy covers processing related to browsing and using the Service. The Service is a curated, multilingual technology / IT content collection; no user account is required.

3. What data we process
When you use the Service, the following data may arise:
- Technical / browsing data: IP address, browser type and version, device / operating system, pages viewed, referrer URL, approximate location (country / region), timestamps.
- Contact: if you email the Controller, the data you provide in the message (for example email address, name, and the content of the enquiry).
The Service does not require registration and does not intentionally collect special-category personal data.
4. Cookies and Google Analytics
The Service may use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand traffic and usage (for example page views and traffic sources). GA4 may use cookies and similar identifiers. Analytics cookies are activated only after you accept them in the cookie banner.
- Purpose: improve the Service’s performance and content; aggregated statistics.
- Legal basis: the Controller’s legitimate interest in operating and improving the Service (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), where applicable law allows.
- Processor / third party: Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC. Google’s own notices govern Google’s processing.
You can restrict or delete cookies in your browser settings; this may affect some features or measurement.
5. Retention
- Retention of GA4 / analytics data follows Google Analytics settings and Google’s practices.
- Contact emails are kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any legal retention duties.
6. Transfers and third parties
We share personal data with third parties only when:
- necessary to provide the Service (for example hosting or analytics);
- required by law; or
- you have consented.
With Google Analytics, data may be processed outside the EEA; Google may use appropriate transfer mechanisms (for example contractual safeguards).
The Service may link to external websites. The Controller is not responsible for those sites’ privacy practices.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may, in particular:
- request access to your personal data;
- request rectification of inaccurate data;
- request erasure or restriction where the conditions are met;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
